More:
Vasilios holds a diverse academic background which extents from Company and Business Law to Shipping and Engineering. He holds positions in several clusters, institutions and organisations such as E.U. and Middle East chambers of commerce. He is a legal consultant to ship-management, ship repair and trading companies mostly in Greece, Cyprus, Turkey and Lebanon.
A natural consequence of his background; Vasilios works with ship owners, ship managers, brokers, underwriters, banks, marine engineers and shipyards in marine cases, with a special focus on seaworkers’ and H&M insurance claims. His practical understanding of ship repairs and actual working conditions allows him to quickly grasp the key variables of every claim and his extensive involvement in the day-to-day operations of a marine servicer has honed him into a skilled negotiator with special attention to detail.
Vasilios’ expertise in marine transactions includes off-shore company formations, start-ups companies, tax planning, commercial and technical management agreements, s & p transactions, shipping financing and insurance agreements. He has handled a variety of marine insurance claims including collisions, claims for loss of life and injuries (at sea, air and land) and cases for environmental pollutions and litigation in commercial disputes. His moto is ’problem solved’ via alternative dispute resolutions as he has acted as an international arbitrator in Middle East cases.
